Thursday 27 - Wednesday 2
WEEK 49. This week starts just four days after I have had my molar pulled.
It's unbelievable but...I feel like a new woman. I am not taking pain pills. Well,
really I am, Ibuprofen 800. However, I could have chosen Loratab. After all that
is what the dentist was ready to prescribe. But I said, "Oh, no thank you!
It makes me soooo sick". Yes, that's what I said with my jaw numb, lips that
didn't move, and a wad of gauze stuffed in my mouth.Or at least that was what
I TRIED to say. I guess he understands numb language...

At home, I believe Alonso, has finally realized he is two years old...and is letting
us know in many ways. Especially by saying "no" to everything. He's not a baby
anymore...no he is not! He is a big boy...

My camera died. It really did. Stupid camera. You were supposed to last until I was
done with FOOD STORIES. But then again...I could do better photos with a new
one. But then again...I really don't want the extra expense. Definitely not this
month. My car's "check engine" has lit up.
Oh, boy...not again. Pepe's trip...camera...car repair...and more. If I keep going
like this...I will never leave...my blog will keep going for everrrrrrr...I can just
see it:
WEEK 510. I feel trapped. My nerves are wrecked. My hair has
fallen out...and only two teeth remain in my gums. My wrinkled face...
and baggy, dark circles under my eyes scare the hell out of me when I look
in the mirror... Will I ever get on Delta flight 109 and head home to my
hubby?

I never got to do a post on Alejandro's birthday. But, I did wish him a Happy One
on facebook. Once again I had to choose on who I would spend the little time I
had. I chose a post for my sister Cary's birthday. And oh, did she love the post
I dedicated to her, Happy birthday to my crazy sister Cary!!. That is what
keeps me going. Making my family smile.
So many birthdays on January! My mom's, Hilda's, Alejandro's, and Cary's! And in
February, Sandra's and Pepe's. I am SURE I am forgetting some...and I know they
all want their little post too!!

CAN I QUIT MY JOB?
Because I also started another blog in Spanish. So many of my family had asked
to read stories...that I did. But I will be sticking to stories of my childhood.
Especially the two years we spent in Spain after leaving Puerto Rico in January,
of 1971.
My first entry for HISTORIAS DE MI MEMORIA:
ENTRE MONJAS Y COLIFLORES.

Hopefully, this week I will get around to writing a story that I have been dying
to tell. She is a very special young woman, and I want to do a good job on
her post, because she deserves it. Her name is Kat Roberts. She is my daughter
in law's sister. Kat has been in my mind everyday since we talked a few weeks
back, before her trip to Africa.
This 26 year old is an example to follow...and you are going to love her story!
God bless you Kat!

FEBRUARY IS FINALLY HERE!!! WOO HOO!!!
Pepe will be here by the 23rd. I am so ready to see him. Phone calls are just
not filling the emptiness anymore. You read my blog and you probably think
I am dealing with my emotions so well...but in all honesty...some days...I don't
do well. Not at all....
And then there is Sandra and Alonso. Being in limbo about her plans kills me.
Let's change subjects....

O.K. Now I am going to share with you some of my sister Cary's photos of
La Alpujarra, Spain. Enjoy!!
