It's only February and this winter weather has me down. Only one beautiful day last week.
A sunny spring- like Sunday, and I had to work! The next day I was off and it poured all
day! I am so tired of grey skies...I am so tired of rain...I am so tired of this cold.
My need for sunshine brought to mind my last trip to Florida. Pepe, Sandra, Alonso, and I
traveled to see my sister in Titusville. It was a much needed trip before our separation.
A few days of sunshine before the gloominess we would have to face the next months.
It was also his "goodbye" to Hilda and my nephew Oscar.
But let' enjoy some music. With today's post I chose Juan Luis Guerra. To me
he is the King of salsa, merengue and bachatas. No one like him...NO ONE!
His music plays for a good part of our trips,it keeps me awake and in a
good mood while driving...So click on the video and take a look at the photos,
or start dancing if you feel like it...
Or stop and enjoy his video. This talented Doninican singer/song writer is part
of our family, but just because we have been listening to him for years!
Ahhh...brings back memories from his last concert at the Gwinnett Civic Center.
I had a blast with my daughters that day!!
This is one of my favorite photos of Alonso. Isn't it sweet?
Forget the food on the table. I wanted to eat Alonso up!! He was just too cute.
It's amazing how much he has grown in the past year. Here he was 17 months
old. They grow up so fast...sigh!
You can't imagine the amount of fun these two have when they get together.
All my kids love their aunt Hilda.
What a moment! It was time for a nap...not a photo shoot!
Pepe's only aunt and cousin came up from Miami to meet us at a restaurant. Not
even a train would stop his family from saying goodbye! They drove for hours just
to spend a few with us. Now that's love!
Tia Maria is the most loving woman I have ever met. She is sweet, funny and
above all wise beyond belief... a gem of a woman.
Sandra looking at the menu...
hmmm...dilema...what to order!!
Alonso though is sure to order
French fries.
This is Maria Elena,Pepe's cousin, with
her husband Jairo. They are so much
fun to be with!
What a great day that was! To see Pepe with his aunt talking and remembering
his youth in Cuba. Aha! Cuba comes up again in my blog. Some day I will tell
you how my Spanish husband was born in Cuba...and went back to Spain when
he was 8 years old.
Why do I have a feeling I was not the only one that took a photo of him?
Only three days in Florida...but they were wonderful. Oh, how I wish I could
go visit...I am so tired of this weather. Cold. Rain. Gloominess. I can just see
myself with Pepe enjoying this marvelous sunset...
Pepe, I know you enjoyed seeing these again!
Love you!!
P.S. DON'T FORGET TO WATCH THE VIDEO...IT'S A HOOT!
