Yesterday, after posting my mother's tribute, I checked around facebook.
Oh, there I was, scrolling down as I checked for something to catch my
eye... and ....BOOM! I see my nephew, Alex, in Spain, posted this
hilarious, 1948 movie clip. The movie is "EL NIETO DEL ZORRO", or
EL ZORRO'S GRANDSON. It was a comedy filmed in Mexico, starring
some of that time's best comedians, including the trio Gaby, Fofo, and
Miliki. If you read my mother's story...then you know, Gaby, was my
father's professional name.
In this scene, you won't see my father, However...you will hear him
playing the saxophone. "Resortes", a great Mexican comedian, is
pretending, just pretending to play it to impress someone in the
audience...the duo next to him, one with the guitar in hand, and the
tall man next to him, with the accordeon, are my uncles, Emilio
and Alfonso,
(Miliki and Fofo).
If you have ever seen Vaudeville and appreciated that type of
entertainment I am sure you will enjoy this even if you can't
understand Spanish...To me the last scene is priceless....
Hope you enjoy it!!
Now that's entertainment!!!
