Week 43. Dear Lord...the days are just flying by! It must be do to Christmas
creeping up and no shopping being done...Not that I am planning on much
shopping. I don't believe in Christmas gift-giving extravaganzas. Never have.
Never will. Only one gift in mind for each of my "kids". But of course, little
Alonso, might get two...
Ah, and not only no shopping done, not even groceries for Christmas dinner...
but no writing...no reading either....no sitting down to watch a movie...UGH!
I dare say this will be posted after Christmas day.
AM I IN SOME TYPE OF BLACK HOLE?
Since I continue fooling myself into believing that I can remember my day to day
without taking notes... I dare say, I will not remember much of what happened
during this week either. SO BE IT. I have no brain...but I will survive which is what
counts, whether I remember or not.
Now, what I do remember is the "primada" at my sister Cary's home. It was
Friday 17th. Not many cousins were able to make it this year. However, the few
that did had the time of their lives....
Yes, I said...the time of their lives! Ana, here, is not crying she is laughing!
She was laughing at whatever, Mayra, my daughter, was saying..By the looks
of it...it must have been hilarious.
And what about this group of cousins? I don't know about you, but just
looking at these photos, and how they are laughing improves my mood!
There is nothing like laughter...what a joy to see family enjoying a good time...
especially without being DRUNK.
Yeap, they were literally rolling on the floor all night!!
Someday...someday ....I will be there with them...It is getting closer. The year
is almost over, and soon I will be able to say, "This year I am moving back to
Spain!"
On Monday the 20th, I finally had some ultrasounds done to see what is "killing"
my legs and for uterus abnormalities....We'll see.
And....on the 22 nd, Alonso turned 2 years and 4 months. In Spain...early in the
morning people watched with anticipation, on T.V., the traditional Christmas
lottery. Darn...my family didn't have winning numbers! Maybe next year. And
on that day also...my sister, Hilda, had a car accident. A truck driver must have
fallen asleep, because he invaded her lane, hitting her as she swerved off the
road. He took off. My sister was well. Her car wasn't. Hilda not being harmed....
was better than winning the lottery.
The rest is more or less the same...lots of phone calls Between U.S. A and Spain.
Although now we have Skype...so I get to SEE who I am talking to. It's so much
fun...and I feel so much closer. Seeing my grandchildren's little faces is priceless...
So many loved ones far away...so many loved ones in my mind and in my
heart...so many memories coming back from Christmases past...
SIGH....SIGH....SIGH....
