It's amazing how one's perspective changes when you have something to
look forward to! Last week I bought my plane ticket to Spain, that means In less
than 3 weeks I will see my husband again after 29 weeks of being apart! For the
first time since he left time is going fast!
My week started with the battle to conquer once again....my landscape! I went to
Home Depot and rented a truck. It was loaded with mulch, top soil, fertilizer, garden soil,
retaining wall bricks....I also bought some tools...a hoe, pruning scissors, a small rake,
and an electric hedge trimmer.
When I got home, it was noon. The temperature high. And...as I unloaded that truck
I nearly had a heat stroke. I don't know. I blacked out! Needless to say, I did not
finish unloading that truck. When I was able to drive, I went back to Home Depot
looking like the truck had ran me over! They made me sit down, brought me water,
refunded me for the merchandise in the truck and gave me a refund on the truck also!!!
Because they were so kind to me I WILL ALWAYS SHOP IN HOME DEPOT!!!
A few days later and still without my lawnmower, my next door neighbor
mowed my lawn to perfection...without me asking! I went to thank Issac,
and see how much for the service. He said, " I know you are very busy
and I am doing this to bless you. Don't worry." How amazing, how touching
it is when someone reaches out and does something like this. I felt like
crying..
Thank you Lord for sending him over when I had no strength and no one
to turn to for help.
I felt so blessed!!!
On Sunday August 22, we celebrated Alonso's second birthday! I wrote
him a letter....
08/22/10 ALONSO TURNS 2! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Oh, how I love you Alonso!!!
What have I done the rest of the week? I have laughed. My family from Spain
is downloading the craziest, funniest videos on facebook. Why? How did it
all start. Well, My niece Carol and my sister Cary went on a cruise to Greece...
when they posted the photos, a cousin of mine said it was not true...it was all
a farce! That did it!!! Everyone is downloading testimonies to prove or disprove
they were there!!! I will post some videos soon!!!
And that made me look up old videos like the following:
Main In-Taiwan
I was watching family videos and got to one of my favorite of Pepe, my husband.
What you are about to see is my husband after a long, long day working in a hot
kitchen. Still in order to share some family fun, (all of our family members were
trying to make "funny fortune teller" videos for a contest), he allowed me to
dress him up....and glue nails...and ...well, you can see for yourself how he
does "noodle-telling".
It's in Spanish. However, I think you can appreciate his great sense of humor!!! Thanks
Pepe for always giving your best, even when exhausted from work! I love you!
